Lucy Liu is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and a singer. Lucy Liu is an intelligent and charming actress. Many Asian actors have aspired to become the biggest stars of Hollywood. After appearing in a number of episodes on popular television series and movies, she gained fame when she was cast in the Ally McBeal legal comedy where she played Ling Woo. She translated her newfound fame into roles for the big screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels as well as other movies. The actress gave a superb performance as Japanese criminal lord O'Ren Ishii, in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Volume 1. The actress also played the lead role in box office failures like Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice characters from animated movies like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia as well as other smaller-screen roles did not achieve any successes. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas which included Liu in regular role, allowed her to re-establish her own identity.
