Dolly-Parton
Born on Jan. 19th of 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poverty-stricken family which would later include 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to be free from life's hardships by using her expansive and vivid imagination. Before she could compose and read the first song she ever composed, she was composing the music she composed herself. She bought her first guitar at the age of 8 and began her singing career on an Knoxville Tenn radio station at age 11. Her first album was recorded within the same calendar year on Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. The singer established a name for herself locally while still in high school, yet she dreamed of performing on a bigger stage. She moved to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart on Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated TV show host at the time, was in search for a girl to sing on his show. Parton agreed to the position in 1967 signed with RCA Records in 1968 and was a part of with the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. In 1974, she quit at the end of Wagoner's show due to the success of her solo songs like Joshua Coats Of Many Colors or Jolene was far surpassing the joint songs. Parton was a part of the group that split after the end of their collaboration with Wagoner She wrote her hit song"I'm Always Loving You and had it reach No. The first time it made it to Number 1 was in 1974.
