Zoe Saldana is the child of Asalia Saldana and Aridio Nazario. Her birthplace was in Passaic (New Jersey) on the 19th of June, 1978. The actress was born in New Jersey's Passaic to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her mother is from Puerto Rico as is her father, Dominican. In 2010, she moved together with her family members to the Dominican Republic where they spent the next 7 years. Zoe's love for dancing was piqued while they were living in the Dominican. Zoe started her dance education through ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy.
